Every year the New York Chapter of the National Academy or Recording Arts and Sciences (NARAS – the organization that founded The Grammy Awards) honors someone from the region who has worked hard to help their community and foster art. This year the academy honored Stephen Sondheim, Jon Bon Jovi, Alicia Keyes, and Donnie McClurkin. The event, held at 55 Wall Street, featured live performances by Melissa Etheridge, the cast of West Side Story, and others.
