HGLD collaborated with MATTE Projects on a re-imagining of Oskar Schlemmer’s Triadic Ballet from 1922. The new ballet, named Virtually There, was a challenging trio of pieces staged by the brilliant punk rock choreographer Karole Armitage in a created space at Mana Contemporary. HGLD was tasked with realizing Ms. Armitage’s vision, as well as curators Roya Sachs’ and Mafalda Millies’ Bauhaus concept and sense of style. HGLD also designed the gala opening dinner, which featured stylistic lighting evocative of the Bauhaus movement.
